I purchased this for the Smith&Wesson M&P15A. It didn''t fit exactly as the heat shield pins were sized differently. So you have to clip the heat shield pins to lower the bracket to the point where the threads from the mount screw will be long enough.
It wasn''t a big deal, but still had to modify my hand guard to make it fit.
